The Common Cold

The fuzzy head of a cold
Is like chemo brain.
With nasal drip
Instead of chemicals
Clogging your mind.
The slow reflexes
And raspy throat
Are vaguely reminiscent
Of the drug induced stupor
And the need for sleep.
But hopefully
This will only last a week.
