Wednesday

My job is not to change the world
But to try to live joyfully in it.
To enjoy the drive to work
And not waste energy
On the car that cut me off.
To find joy in the student
That didn't come prepared
Or planning to learn today.
To be at peace with the meetings
And chaos surrounding me
And practice the zen of being.
To find humor in the day
And wonder at its 25 hours.
To make the most of each day
And realize I'm not changing it
It's changing me.
