To watch a cat nap-

Languidly lying

In the sun,

Soft fur

Like butter

Melting on the bed.

Blue eyes closed

But ears alert

Anticipating anything alarming

On a hot summer day.

Head full of pollen
Nose full of scents
Satisfied by a good day
In the garden.

No festivals
Or trips
Just a beautiful Monday morning

A parched psyche.

With the Waves.
A day at the beach.
