Hawaii Dreams

The warm sun
Belies the winter chill
Outside my window.
Safe and warm inside
Pretending the snow
Is a white sand beach.

Ancestors' dreams
Through time
Transformed
Standing on a distant shore
Peering into the unknown
With grace
And genes
To touch the future.

Tears hallowing out the heart.
Saltwater dissolving hurt
And smoothing out the rough edges,
Creating new paths
And carving out fresh spaces
To fill with love again.

Our lives
Like sentences on a page
A meaningless alphabet
Without the pause

The end of an era...Miss you auntie Bea

Age 87 of Shoreview, went home to God on 1/8/13.  Bea was forever young and filled every life she touched with joy and love.  He life was founded upon the four principles of faith, family, friends and music.  She was preceded in death by husband, Jack; 3 sisters and a brother.  Survived by children, Casey (Tracy), Chris (Vic) Stucynski, Kevin (Debra) and Jerry (Janet); 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings, Mary (Dick) Oberle, Joe (Cindy) and Richard (Luanne); many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Saturday, 1/12/13 at St. Odilia Church, 3495 Victoria St. N, Shoreview with visitation from 4 – 8 pm Friday, 1/11/13 at Mueller Lake Mortuary, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake and 1 hour prior to Mass at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the “Bea A. Bohman Memorial Fund.”  Mueller Lake Mortuary.
